Culinary Creative Director
I am Adrián Geralnik, an Argentinian who has lived in Barcelona for over 20 years. This mystical city has allowed me to develop professionally and lead a life by the sea.After exploring photography and gastronomy, both fields of work that I am passionate about and for which I feel a great affinity, I have managed to unite them in a profession that combines them perfectly.
Although my work excites me, I also enjoy my free time practising sports in natural surroundings and touring routes by motorcycle. This has allowed me to develop another of my interests: travelling to interact with new flavours by visiting different towns, villages and cities in search of small restaurants, markets or authentic stores to obtain local produce that I can use in my cooking to share with my family and friends.
Food and cooking are my work and my free time; they are a central axis of my life. My passion for them motivates me daily to explore and discover what they offer me. I can transmit this to my diners through my preparations.
In my more than 20 years of experience, I have been fortunate to be able to act in different areas of gastronomy, such as a chef in my own restaurant, as the author of the book “Casi Crudo”, as a teacher in cooking courses and in the Food Styling workshop of the Mentoring online platform. I was also lucky enough to spend a month on a sailboat touring the Greek islands with a group of friends, during which I was in charge of the kitchen.
Besides that, I have worked doing gastronomic consulting, developing recipes for specialised magazines and as part of different teams where, in addition to the academic, I have acquired practical experience in various styles of cuisine such as Mediterranean, Contemporary, Asian, Middle Eastern and Latin American.
Currently, I integrate my multifaceted knowledge and perspectives working as a Culinary Creative Director and Food Stylist for photography and gastronomic advertising shoots. This job I enjoy because it fosters my creativity in the constant search for the best possible styling for each product or dish. Some of my clients are Nestlé, Red Bull, Europastry, Dolce Gusto, Nespresso, Hotel Ritz Mandarin Oriental Madrid, and advertising agencies DDB Spain and McCann Worldgroup.
